I sometimes throw recyclables in the trash. Am I a bad person?

No, I know people who do the same thing.  Every now and then I do the same thing.  Just don't feel like walking into the garage almost every time I need to throw something away, because sooo much is recyclable.  And each thing has to be in its own bin.  Can be a real pain in the ***.

No, you are not. I do it all the time, and I do it on purpose to stick it to the status quo. Your status as a good person is not measured by recycling or environmental friendliness, no matter what everyone else says.

Nah, if you ask me, I would just say try to remember to recycle as often as possible. Especially if where you live makes it pretty easy (like picking up recycleables every other week like they do in my city). But if you accidentally throw some stuff away every once in a while, that's not a big deal.

No seriously, I don't think it makes you a bad person. It's rare that I throw stuff out that is recyclable but I do occasionally. At my office, I noticed this was happening a lot so I put extra recycle bins around and it helped. You might consider this. Or you can just 'stage' the recycle item in a spot that is on the way to the recycle bin and then next time you are headed that way, you can pick it up and bring it to the recycle bin.

I do this sometimes, and I feel bad about it.  We are only allowed 2 recycling bins and they pick up every 2 weeks!  Mine fill up the first week, even though I try to shop eco-friendly and don't use paper products.  Sometimes I just run out of room!
