I would just paint over the area of the spray paint.  cause there's no way to get rid of the spray paint without causing damage to the paint on the house

You have to paint the whole house because if you just paint the spot you sprayed, that's going to not look good and not the same color.

the only way to cover it up is by painting over it. have u noticed when u see graffiti around ur town then its not there anymore its cuz it was covered w/ white

There's no way to remove spraypaint if there's a surface underneath it that is also of paint.  You just have to own up and repaint it for him.  If it's like.. brick or something... WD-40 has been known to be of help in my experience.

There are "graffiti removers" at the hardware store, but there is some chance it will damage the house paint.  It all just depends on what type of spray you used and the type of house paint.  

You have nothing to lose by trying a graffiti remover, but my guess is you'll need to just paint over it with the original color.

Couldn't you just paint over it with the correct color?  Or if it is vinyl siding a little dab of paint thinner or gasoline will do the trick....unless you painted their whole house, then you're effed.

I'm not for sure, but I think you can take a wet sponge and just try and sponge it off as much as possible. If that fails, then you might just have to paint back over the house. I'm not sure if spray paint comes off easily, but I don't think it does.
