I spilled a whole can of beer on my new couch, how do I get the smell out, and prevent it from smelling worse?

I am afraid that it is goign to dry and smell like skunk, any ideas...I was thinking fabreeze???

get some cleaning detergent, or take off the sofa cover and wash the whole thing. u can add a bit of that good smelling stuff that everyone has...forgot wat its called! good luck!

First, I would use a wet/dry vac to get all of the beer out that I can.

If it is on a couch cushion and you can remove the cushion cover and launder it I would.

Take some dishwashing liquid and mix it with water.  Use your mixer, if you want, to froth up the suds.  Use the suds to sponge down where the beer was spilled and rinse it with clear water.  Set it outside in the sunshine to help it dry so it won't get moldy.

Once everything is completely dry and put back together use some Febreze or spinkle the cushion with baking soda and let it sit overnight, then vacuum.

If you have a wet vacuum try to suck up the beer .If not blot dry with towels. Pore with club soda  till the beer is all most gone. i then try a product called natures Marcile. it is sold in pet stores. it works with killing the enzymes that stink. just follow the directions on the back k?

vinegar believe me it works and also backing soda can aborb alot too Spray with vinigar blot with toilet paper and when your done put baking soda andit will absorb all when dried vacume!
