I spilled beach on granite, how to i re-shine my counter tops?

my maid spilled bleach on my granite counter tops and now there are white ish dots on the counter. how do i bring shine back to those places without purchasing new counter tops??

  1. get a buffer like what you would use on a car . one that attaches to a drill and buff it out.


  2. just get some granite sealer and wipe it down until you get the white out. The stone is fine and this is something you should do once a year anyway.

  3. Stains on stone are notoriously difficult, but granite is one of the most durable, so there might still be hope!  

    Here are two suggestions:

    You can try a granite poultice treatment.  This is bascially a mixture of flour or baking soda and some kind of mild cleaner formed to a paste.  You can find these at a larger hardware or home store.  

    The other option is to get it rebuffed and resealed by the folks who installed it (or other professional.)

    I have stone floors in many areas of my home and keeping them perfect is almost futile but using the right solutions to quickly get at spills like this have helped enormously.  Good luck!!
