I spilled beer on my cell phone.

Question

Its a Sprint Samsung Slider. The screen is completely blank, it lights up, I tried to clean it up but its still not working. What should I do? Is it ruined? It makes some noises too. HELP

take battery and sim out and dry it with a hairdryer on a cool setting

Im not sure if this helps, but I heard if you take the battery off the phone and put the phone itself and the battery if you want into a bag of uncooked rice for a day or two it sucks all the moisture out. Hopefully this works!

Pull the battery out and hope you didn't fry it by leaving it in.

Spray down the phone with Windex...battery still pulled out! This will help to prevent the buttons from being sticky later.

Fill a cup with uncooked rice and then place the phone in the rice to wick out the moisture.

Power it back up and see what happens.

No free phone from sprint. If you have the insurance on your phone there is a $50 deductible and they will send you a new phone. If it were anything other than water/beer damage they replace it free of charge.

KIDDING. call ur cell phone provider, tell em that u dropped it in the toilet or something and they should give you a new phone.. either for free or a small charge.
