  1. You shouldn't have tried switching it on straight after the spillage.

It's better if you left it for at least 3 days and plug it in to check. But i think the  only way is to get a new one or open the ipod open to evaporate the water and close it again but i dont recommend it just in case something bad goes wrong

  2. wow d**n that reall sucks ****, yeah water and technology doesnt mix lol but only advice I could give would be that to go out and buy a used 1 but then again my ipod is a plain 4gb mini and yeah but just save for a new 1. I suppose is the best thing you can do at the moment. Sorry I cant be really much help, hopefully some1 who answers this other than me can help you way more than I did :) neways good luck with the iPod problem

  3. If it was just water and not some kind os sugary drink like tea or soda you should dry it out open it up and try replacing the battery. Heres a tutorial on how to take apart a 5g ipod video (the most common one). Its realy simple and replaceing the battery is pretty much the same on all of them. Heres a link to a battery on ebay you can get them for around 10 bucks. Hey its morth a shot.
