  1. what may look weird to us, is perfectly normal to them...he is probably telling you that he misses his territorial scents...it will take him a while to get used to it.

  2. maybe he knows that Febreeze is made by Proctor and Gamble.. the company notoriously linked to animal testing cruelty (also makers of Iams, and Eukanbua)

maybe he knows how dangerous the chemicals in the spray are..

  3. i think you'd better check the recent news.. the nrdc came out with a report of all the really bad chemicals that are in air freshener products...

perhaps your dog is reacting to the bad stuff...

  4. Nothing, it's probably all in your head.

  5. hehe that's cute. all dogs are a little weird& crazy. he is just bein a puppy, no need to worry! just don't spray it too close to him.. lol.

  6. Probably your removing his scent.

Their scent proves to other dogs that this is HIS territory and removing it would make him angry

  7. he probably hates the smell.

  8. Well my dog is afraid of the broom...

and eats his own vomit. :P

So, I don't think it's anything to worry about at all. Dogs do weird things, just like people. Maybe the smell reminds your dog of something he doesn't like? I don't know, but there's most likely nothing to worry about. :)

  9. Wow, great response from someone with article from NRDC.  I heard that sprays were bad for you.  This confirms it.

I switched sometime ago to a totally unscented activated carbon odor absorber called FRIDGE-IT odor absorbers.  I use it in fridge, but also around house like under sinks, cat litter box and many other places.  It works great to eliminate odors and not cover them up with these apparently bad sprays.  I'm glad I switched.   This product works really well too .  You can get it at www.innofresh.com
