  1. Pull the staple out and use a band aid.

  2. I would just put some antiseptic on it....

  3. You should if your worried about it, but I have accidentally stapled my finger, hammered a nail through, stuck a pin through and other stupid things because I wasn't paying attention and I was fine, but hey as I said it is up to you.

  4. Nah, you're perfectly fine. Hapenned to me as well, also went quite deep, and nothing hapenned.  Put a band-aid if you need.

lol, there's not tetanus on staplers, don't worry :D

  5. You'll be fine - it might hurt a bit - but no need to get a shot - unless you were using rusty staples and haven't had a tetanus shot in many years!

  6. clean it with some sort of antiseptic, and you should be OK.

  7. I have stapled my fingers many times, and the only thing I did was wash the affected area with soap and water and take a couple of aspirins for the pain.

  8. Doh!  Wash it with soap and antiseptic and put a band aid on it over night. Put antiseptic cream on again tomorrow and if it seems ok (not too much reddnish or bleeding) then ok.

  9. Probably not.  Just wash with soap and water and put some neosporin on it.

  10. naw just take it out and put a band-aid on your finger

    youll be finne

  11. i'm not exactly a doctor but i know my friends have done it b4 and they were ok. it might not have gone as deep though. so i don't think u do but c what other people say.

  12. If it's just a regular staple, then you'll be fine. I worked at a cabinet making company and I was using an industrial stapler with 1 inch staples that had glue on them to keep the cabinets together and I stapled my finger and boy did it hurt for about a month. The glue was what made it hurt the most.

Anyway, if it's just a regular paper stapler, then don't worry. Just keep an eye on it and if it looks red or if it starts to get hot, then put some Neosporin (sp) or some other infection fighter and a bandaid and it should get better soon.

  13. i did that when i was younger.

my mum just put a plaster on it and i was fine.

    xoxo

  14. Nah...your good.

  15. i would get it just in case/ call your doctor tho.

  16. Anytime you invade the body, there's a risk of infection.  But, as far as tetanus goes, if you haven't had a recent tetanus booster (like < 10 years) then you may want to check into getting a booster.  Otherwise, some antibiotic ointment and/or peroxide should be fine.

  17. it can get infected

  18. If there's swelling and pus, then that would indicate an infection and you should have it looked at.   If not, just clean it with peroxide and use an antibiotic oinment like bacitracin on it for a couple of days.

  19. Been there done the same thing more than once. You are probably fine, but I would keep an eye on it for the next 24 to 48 hours. If you have questions, call your dr. Good luck, watch out for that man eating stapler.
