I started a company about a year ago a someone stole my name...?

I own Xtreme Power Computers.com. I was searchig the web and I noticed that someone, in aother state, started a company named "Extreme Power Computers.com" after purchased my DBA, TAX ID and a Website. Is there anything I can do to keep them from using my companies name? Are they doing anything illegal?

Yeah, you have to hire a lawyer to send a letter saying that you own that name, and they have to stop using it.

Is there any way you can find out how long they have been a company?

Since you have your EIN the name is most likely protected in YOUR state. If you have an earlier date of incorporation you may be able to require them to not do business under that name in your state.  If they incorporated before you did you may be in a situation where you might be required to change your company name.Contact a lawyer. If you do not have a lawyer already you should join a law services company.  It will save you lots of money. I use Pre-Paid Legal and have saved a lot of money that way.
