  1. Your stomach ache does not have any connection to drinking Green Tea. You might have noticed the pain in your stomach due to some other reason or stomach disorder. Please do not worry. Continue to drink Greeen tea and it is very good for health. I have been taking green tea for quite some time and it does not affect health in any way and I do not agree with the views expressed by others here in above.

It has been shown in various research studies that GREEN TEA is associated with protection against certain types of cancer including lung and stomach cancer. Moreover a study in Japan found that the regular consumption of green tea, say more than 3 cups a day, might be protective against the breast cancer in early stages. Green tea inhibits the DNA replication in leukemia cells resulting in death of these cells; it is anti-carcinogenic, potent antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, anti-thrombotic, cholesterol lowering, antiviral and antibacterial. Several substances, classified as antioxidants, are found in tea and these are components that are able to combine with unstable positively charged oxygen molecules, otherwise known as “free radicals” and thus stopping from damaging cells and DNA. As a consequence to the damage, various health problems develop.

Green Tea, which is high in antioxidants, has received the most attention about its health benefits. Yet another non-oxidized tea which is much less common, namely WHITE TEA is also high in antioxidants.

    TEA AND HEART -

Tea drinking may help keep heart attack victims alive according to a study at Harvard Medical School. This study reviewed hundreds of men and women in their 60s who had suffered heart attack and found who drank two cups of tea a day and had lower death rate than non tea drinkers. Moderate tea drinking reduced risk of heart attach by over 40%.

    TEA AND BRAIN STOKE -

Studies have also shown flavonoids in tea reduce the risk of cerebral stroke by more than 50%.

    TEA AND CANCER –

It has been documented in a Japanese study that there is definite slowdown in increase of cancer incidence among tea drinkers. In another study it was reported that green tea drinkers had less than 50% risk of developing stomach and chronic gastritis when compared to those who do not drink tea. -
