  1. i started a few months ago...i didnt ask anyone anything. Its easy, all you do is put on a towel for the first cuople of periods untill you feel you can wear tampons and for the first year ir so they will be irregular so look out for signs that they will start again...cramps, moody, tender b*****s ect. and after that you'll just do the same every month!

if you have more questions just e mail me or log onto

    hope i helped :)

  2. wear a pad or a tampon. Make sure to change it every four hours and wash real good afterwards. Oh and don't wear light colored pants.

  3. tampons. pads. midol.  :)

  4. Just take care of yourself. There are plenty of websites that tell you how. I cant type it all out but welcome aboard the crappy ship lol

  5. yayyyyy congrats sweetie! i cant wait til my sisters get theirs!!

do u have the necessities yet? That would be pads or tampons (or pads AND tampons, and pantiliners.

But really all u need right now is : pads.

    1. If you feel pain in ur lower stomach (cramps...feel kinda like when u need to p**p....you'll know) you can take any painkiller like Tylenol, Advil or Ibuprofen.

    2. Mark today on a calendar. Every day u get it after today put an x on the calendar. Then when its over you'll know how many days it lasted, and u can count 28 days from the last day to see when you'll get it again. However, you'll be irregular at first and probably skip a month or a few!

3.See how many times u have to change ur pad. Roughly, its 3-4 hrs, but it will get lighter towards the end of ur week. Yes a period usuaully lasts from 3 - 10 days. Average is 5. It doesnt really matter what pad u use, just whatever ur mom buys for u. If u think what she bought for u is too large, ask her for the slender always. Thats what most girls use. They're yellow. If u think u bleed throught too quickly ask for a thicker one. Ask her for overnight pads to wear while u sleep, otherwise ull have to put two pads which is uncomfortable...and wasteful. If u swim or will be going swimming, u shud use tampons, but if not wait until youre ready. Maybe u should give yourself this period to see how it goes. If u decide pads are annoying, tampons may be a good choice for u. They can be changed a bit less frequently and u arent so worried about leaks. Pantiliners can be used at the very end of ur period when its really light but u dont want to stain ur underwaer and u dont need a whole pad! also they can be used when u think u might get it next month and every month.

    4. wear tights at night. it keeps the pad in place so u wont leak

5.to school ull need to bring about 3 pads in a purse everyday. dont worry about changing it, its normal

    be happy.

  6. thats nice u started it

  7. WELL I THINK THAT YOU SHOULD ALWAYS HAVE A PAD WITH YOU WHE YOU GO TO SCHOOL OR WHEN YOU START TO GET CRAMPS.. you will get cramps sooner or later so have some tynelol with you ok i hope everything goes well

  8. Don't use white towels after showering, change your pad frequently or you'll smell, black pants and jeans and long shirts are your friends, sleep on your side (blood leaks thru the back) wear old pjs and underwear, you WILL ruin some. Esp. if you;re using pads exclusively, make sure to clean yourself down there either with baby wipes or in the shower. You will feel nice and fresh and not so stinky.

  9. use tampons instead of pads, they owrk better and you wont have to worry about leaking through the pad and they are much cleaner.

  10. Wow, you must be quite excited.  Hopefully you have some pads or tampons, if you don't you need to get some,   it's naturaly don't worry you will get used to it.

    Ask your mum

  11. Why are you asking strangers this? Where's your mom?

  12. tell the person who lives with you

  13. First time?

Buy some pads or tampons (or both, which ever is more comfortable for you) and change every few ours or sooner if needed.  Do not wear a tampon in more than 8 hours.

  14. I would suggest stocking up on pads! I use to use the always pads with wings as they have good protection over leakage. If your period is painful, like cramps, backaches, headaches, as mine are, You should try midol, or pamprin(it's the Best!) It will help out tremendously and wont make you feel so bleh! My advice would be that just try to be active still although you may feel crappy, getting exercise can help ease the pain, like taking a walk. Also, try not to drink caffeinated products such as coke, or stuff like that which can increase cramps. Oh, now is a good time for an excuse to eat chocolate as a lot of woman crave chocolate on their periods! LOL Good luck and Welcome to womanhood!

  15. either put in a tampon or put a pad on your panties. either way you are growing up and need to take responsibilty
