  2. Check out http://www.paniccure.com/ it's a really great website for dealing and overcoming anxiety...I also believe in God. However my perspective is slightly different than yours. I believe God guides us through out life and opens our eyes and hearts so we can see all that we have available to us. I feel that a psychiatrist is one of those things. God gave them a gift to help others, let them use it...as a matter of fact, my pdoc is a catholic nun...how bout that??

  3. It may be that you are progressing even if it doesn't feel like it.  If you aren't having full blown panic attacks now you may have stepped down to constant anxiety (doesn't feel like much of an improvement does it?)  It will get better but there is a lot you can do to help yourself.  first of all, let me ask you a question...if you had a child would you want him/her to suffer needlessly?  No, neither would God, and He is a better parent than you or I would ever be.  He also doesn't expect us to live as solitary creatures and that is why He gave us the gift of being able to help eachother.  I think you would be 'letting Him down' more (not that you're really doing that anyway) by staying sick instead of seeking help.  Having said that, concentrate on good self care, stay away from stimulants, get in a routine and go see a psychologist.  Anxiety is very responsive to therapy.  You can and should do this for yourself.  Maybe God is allowing you to take this journey so that you can help someone in the future who is having the same problem.  Just a thought.  Now just continue until you are on the other side so you can tell someone how they might be able to do it. Good luck and don't be hard on yourself.  Your anxiety is not a failing of faith and it won't steal your testimony.
