my private coach says i have a lot of potential and i played singles my sophmore year with a winning record.. i play almost every day for 3 hours and im wondering what more i could do to go pro. i really have the dedication and work ethic but my parents are not willing to spend the money for usta tournaments and club memberships.. it is really a hard situation for me as i know i have talent.. im 16 by the way and there are no usta tournaments close enough where i can get transportation there. i need some advice because i do not want to give up on my only true dream

  1. I'm sorry, but unless you start playing good people and traveling, even playing college tennis will be a stretch.  The kids who are gunna become pros are traveling the world playing other juniors who are going to go pro.  But stranger things have happened, so good luck!

  2. If you keep on playing on your team you can try for tennis scholarships to get into college playing tennis. Once your in college tennis, if you get really good, its a ticket to becoming pro and entering tournaments I guess.

  3. im in the same situation as you except you get to play more than me,

the only thing i can say is practise hard as much as you can , study the pros play, try to get to just a few usta touneys ,try your best to get a scholarship and play tennis in collage once your on your own work really hard to get your ranking up, join the itf , play  alot of futures  and work and prey that, that can get you in to the atp to play the challengers as far as big events that takes time , determination, and luck

i'll be okay just being succesful on the futures or challengers tour
