  1. 2tble spoons cider vinegar

1tble spoon honey stir gargle and swallow

If you get a throat infection again above would clear it quicker,Honey is good for you like anything in moderation high sugar content

  2. It's one of the best ways to take honey. So nice. Especially with  lemon like everyone said, or herb teas.

    Kurtis's recipe sounds great.

Just a comment on his answer though is that Ayurveda says honey becomes toxic when taken to high temeratures. So when you have it in warm water you obviously don't boil it in the water and it might be best to have warm, not hot (not sure). So you actually shouldn't cook or bake with it according to Ayurveda but just add it later.

Therefore it is best to buy honeys which are raw and unprocessed. And there are some which are specially full of goodness like Manuka (in Australia)

  3. In excess, yes. It is a sugar solution and could cause tooth decay and weight gain in excess.

  4. No....but a teaspoon of warm honey and pepper is gud for a sore throat

  5. also add some lemon (form fresh lemon) juice it helps as well. I fu like tea u can drink tea with honey and lemon juice.

  6. It isn't bad unless you go to extremes.

Honey-lemon water is one of my favorite sore-throat therapies.  Mix it with some oregano (antibiotic properties), thyme (expectorant properties) and huckleberries/blueberries (high in anti-oxidants) for a wonderful cold-tea.

Honey can be used as an alternative to sugar as a sweetener in anything.  There are several types of honey that each have their own flavor, and using a honey that is locally grown can help to reduce the effects of allergies in various seasons.

All that being said however, keep in mind that honey is a sugar.  Just as with any other sugar, excessive use can lead to an increased risk for diabetes and other health issues (obesity, etc.).

Honey is however, one of my favorite sugar alternatives, it is more natural and much less refined that store bought sugar.  Unfortunately, it takes some getting used to with cooking, since it can change the way things bake (i.e... bread won't rise the same, etc).

  7. I always recommend elderberry cordial it is excellent for sore throats, colds, flu etc

  8. honey is very good for you, and daily consumption is great.  i would suggest buying a local honey, raw and unprocessed (not heated!)  if you use it in tea, don't use scalding water - but very warm is fine.

  9. Try it with lemon too, its excellent.

And no it wont be bad for you at all.

  10. Keep drinking it - it's good for you.

There's a great story by Roald Dahl called "Gelée Royale". If you start to turn furry and go "bzzzzzz" I'd lay off it :-)

  11. dont fink so, water is healthy for u n honey helps ur troat

try not 2 always drink it, cause of the sugar level

  12. No shoudn't think so, tho honey is high in sugar so it may cause problems with your teeth like any other high sugar drink, coke or fizzy for example. keep it to decent amounts and chew gum after it!

  13. no its not bad for you hun x
