  1. Try clear your cache or there is a glitch in your game.

  2. I've been having the same problemn for a few days on my laptop (but not on my similarly configured desktop) using both FF and IE.  Tried everything and no luck, always getting the "old version of client in your cache" error message immediately upon entering a chess room.  My guess is that it's an incompatability between the latest update of Flash and the older version that the New Chess was implemented with.

On my desktop, I declined to update Flash and New Chess still works fine.  I'm going to give Yahoo a few days to fix New Chess to match the latest Flash, and if they don't, I'll try backdating Flash on the laptop.  Pretty sure that's the problem, but not positive yet.

EDIT: Problem solved.  Went to Start/Control Panel/Add or Remove Programs.  Removed all Adobe Flash Player version 9 stuff.  Went back to New Chess and it works again :)
