Okay, here is goes again. I'm writing a story for fun and I need a name for the main character. My character is a seventeen year old girl with waist-long curly vibrant red hair, green beautiful eyes, and her body is covered with freckles.

Also, where should she live? I have NO idea to where this story should take place, so just name a few places that you've been to that you liked and was pretty...

  1. Sounds like a Mary Sue.

Sorry you ain't getting any help from me.

  2. Maybe you can call her something refreshing and alive.....how about Jenny, Mary or Kaityn ??? Think of something cute and sweet because girls with freckles are sweet. Because freckles always look good with green, try thinking of flowers like Lilac or Rose or Daisy.

Think of a made-up place...I might be crazy but think of kindy when yuo used to read stories with these crazy names and names that end with -land like lolly-land or something like that.

    Good Luck with your story!

    Hope I helped...

    Always,

    Musikk in tha earzz.

  3. she sounds like a lindsey lohan lol. anyways, maybe, Hayley, or Renee (Ree-nee) maybe, Katie, or Brooke. If shes like one of those girly-girls maybe, Stacey, maybe, AnneMarie? How bout Kirsti, (Keerstee) Or Kristi? Do you like angelina? or camille? Michelle? Shavon? Brittany? Kiana? Gisbelle? (Jisbell) Olivia? Sarah? Savannah? Amy? Kayley? Megan? Lelsie? Madison? Heather? Juliana? Danielle/Daniella? Diana? Samantha? Alexa? Ashley? Rachel? Monique? Alana? Scarlette? ANgel? Ruby? Crystal? Lois? Kekio? Natalie? Roxanne? Alicia? Ana? Mirna? Anyways, think, maybe you should think of a place where you would like to go....Australia? Japan? Belgium? Michigan? China?  LA? Las Vegas? Anywhere you would like to visit....before I get a little carried away lol...hope I helped :D

  4. For names, i would suggest something kind of exotic and uncommon. Such as:

    Cecilia

    Lilac (like the flower)

    Kaylee

    Alaya

    Nalia

    Coriander (like the herb)

    Rose

Using the name of a flower would add a slight elegance and beauty to the character, and something unique and unheard of would make her seem creative and fresh.

Now about where she shoud live. From what i've written, i find it easier to write in a beachy setting. Just imagining being there is soothing and helps the flow of ideas. A few places could be:

British Columbia (create a small town along the coast)

California (A very busy state, plenty of places to choose from)

Italy (Beautiful country, and a foreign background adds culture to your character. You can also make up an old city for her to live in)

Any place bordering a large body of water would be nice. Having a beach nearby would give good reason for your characters freckles and bright red hair aside from genetics. It also portrays a more soothing atmosphere for bother author and reader

Hope i helped, have lots of fun writing ^.^

  5. I use those baby name sites to name my characters xD Or maybe a character naming book and sometimes they just pop into my head =P She doesn't sound like a Mary Sue to me =)
