  1. you are who you are dont try to make an effort because they are clearly being rude to you. i have the same problem even tho me and my bf hav been together 4 yrs and we have a 2 yr old daughter. they make no effort in getting to kno me or my daughter and it used to bother me but now dont care. you can win wen i accept that u dont need their approval xx

  2. Hi I dont know whats wrong with most boyfriends mothers but they seem to always not like something about their sons girlfriends, the best thing to do is just to not let it get to you,

Me and my mother in law never used to get on, she just didnt like me and that was that, and I basically didnt like her. lol,

She would always talk to me, but she would try and through a dig in somewhere just to hurt me which is just pathetic, I think I behave older than her sometimes, but since she knew I wasnt going anywhere and her son was out of her hair and happy with me there was nothing she could do. I got drunk one night and had it out with her as I was sick of everything and since then we have been fine lol bad way to do it and not nesscary good advice to you but all I would say is, that if you feel that she is ignoring you and doesnt want to talk to you, you have been seeing your boyfriend for 2 years and for her to still treat you like this is wrong, I would just say to her, when she walks in the room make conversation, could be about anything, and then if she still ignores you then ask her why ? If you boyfriend wont even help you out you gotta do it yourself.

Just say you know you are not the X that she loved so much and dont want to replace her, but you have done thing wrong to be given the silent treatment and you dont care weather she likes you or not. and then leave it at that.

I know how you feel and its not nice but it gets easier the longer you are going out with each other trust me, its hard work but the best thing is you have her son and thats what is getting to her the most.

You cannot help it if your boyfriend broke his relationship with his ex.

  3. hiya don't even try to change,or bow down to her.some mother try to pick there future daughter in law.thank god I'm not like that.her acting this way to you,she is hoping you will split up with her son, then he will find a girl that mummy like .I'm not saying your b/f is a mummy boy.you love him so sod her and hold your head height,go round all the more, and start holding his hand and the odd kiss in front of her,she will get the picture in the end.good luck.xx

  4. The fact is they just may like the X more.... even for the simple reason of "she came first." My bf''s parents clearly loved his X of 6+ years more than me but I realize there's nothing I can do about that.  Your best bet is to do two things:

First, take anything they offer and ALWAYS thank them.  If they offer food TAKE IT, EAT IT, LIKE IT.  Even if it's gross.

Second, listen.  It will be tempting to try to tell them things so it feels like you are participating in the conversation, but the fact of the matter is that people are innately selfish and would rather you listen to them talk about themselves than to hear about you.  Cater to that and eventually, they will WANT to hear about you.
