how is it when you hear a song, you haven't heard in a long time, but used to listen to over and over again, that you still know the words by heart? what's the scienticic/health reason behind this?

  1. IT's called memory.

  2. Well, you don't actually know it by "heart" (it is not a revelation but maybe something cherishful). What is the best way to memorize something? Repeat it over and over again. Your memorization neurons/zones get stimulated/active more often so that it is stored in medium-term memory.

Besides, 2 years is not a long time. Our brain likes melodies and music. It makes it easier for it to remember things (the brain stores the lyrics data somwhere at the same time as the melody. Contrarily to computers, it takes "less space" for the brain to save a melody than a "text" file)
