I love any oppurtunity to use alliteration, just so you know, and I love this short little poem, it didn't go so well at the slam, but I think that's because its so short, and it was my first time, thanks for your input.

In a Garden Among the Dead

Our love was a fallacy

Burried lies and

Burried lives

In a garden among the dead

The false flowers are stark

Against your granite grave

The freshly carved words

Mark your life and death

In a garden among the dead

Our unreal love rings true

The bell tolls as a wedding is through

And the widow stands alone

  1. This was beautiful. I can picture everything in each verse.

    1st verse I see a cemetary.

    2nd verse I see a lover's grave stone.

3rd verse I see that widow standing at her love's grave listening to the wedding bells.

  2. It was pretty interesting I especially liked the 2nd verse
