  1. cause you are still squeezing it out! when you do that, your body thinks its feeding and it triggers more milk to be produced

  2. Everyone's different.  You may have milk for years to come, or it may disappear overnight.

See, everyone?  A mother's milk does not just dry up instantly and for no reason.  Her confidence in breastfeeding may take a dive, but supply is fine!

  3. cuz your squeezing it! lol, my sister always would show me...look I can still make milk...I say well leave your boobies alone and it will stop!! not saying that you always squeeze your b*****s but it takes a while to dry up, and I would think it would take longer since you breastfed for 2 months, a baby needs milk, either from you or from formula for a year, so I would expect your body to make more progress within the next 6 months...your hormones dont go back to normal until 2 years after childbirth!!!

  4. Because you're still expressing some.  It generally takes months to years for all the milk to go away, once the demand goes away.

As long as you keep checking, your body will still make a little bit.

  5. It could be because you are expressing it by hand.

  6. your body keeps those liquids for possible relactation. I've known women who still have colstrum 3 years after breastfeeding, but I"ve known other ladies that has had the colstrum dissapear within months. If it really bothers you, there are meds you can take to completely dry up the colstrum.
