I really did study hard, thought I knew all the material, and wanted the A on the final to boost my grade to a 90% overall. My parents don't know but when they find out they'll be pretty mad, what should I do/say? And what did I do to get a bad grade? My parents are very serious when it comes to grades so C=Bad.

  1. If your parents are hard-crack grade addicts, they will probably be angry with your C+. Telling your parents that you studied very hard will probably not help, because I view that as another verbal excuse to get out of a lecture. Best way to confess: "It was my own fault that I got a bad grade."

  2. Tell them exactly what you told us.   They can only expect your best and that's it!    I think you did a great job and I really mean it!

  3. JUst tell them the truth. Don't lie!! Then they'll just find out another way and be PISSED!!! Being honest is best!!!!!!!

  4. Tell them everything you just said.  Tell them how hard you tried.  Then tell them that you just do not take tests well, assuming that that is correct...

  5. just tell them thay you studied really hard but you got nervous and messed up a few questions. tell them that having a B as a final grade is ok and that you will work harder next year.
