  1. Hi. First of all, let me tell you that you are just one of the thousands of people who live away from family. Let me tell you, you live just 1900 kms away, there are people thriving on foreign land and still bearing it.

In life, change is a necessary part. Whateer happens, happens for the good. You are here for a purpose so you need to fulfil that! Concentrate on your studies, enjoy and make girlfriends:-))

Being homesick for the first few months is absolutely normal and desirable. Overcome the feelings by looking at the brighter side of things. Whenever you have your vacations, you will be off to see your family again!

No one can really live with their parents forever so you need to think it that way.

Always remember on ething, whenever you feel weak, think of the weakest person you have ever seen. This will make you feel better.

You are young. It is your time to explore, to see the world. Go to various concerts, libraries (if you like books), sightseeing, clubbing, etc.

Try making a couple of friends and share with them. They are probably in the same plight as you so just conquer this feeling and emerge victorious!

Do visit the lovely temple at Pilani! Also involve yourself in debates, shows, etc. Find solace in the beautiful surroundings and bounties of nature- the tall trees, the peacocks, everthing!

All the very best! Tell me if this helped. The world is waiting for you!

  2. Go and eat in a Mrwari House.

  3. quite a lot actually,

    1) call home

    2) make your own network of friends

    3) explore and experienc this new city on your own.

    4) take lots of photos..try to pretend to be a photographer and take unusual pics. Also, take photos of 'you standing with a famous monument', make a album. Send it home if you wish.

5)know history of the city. improve your general knowledge.

6)go for regular walks, plan your diet, exercise..learn to enjoy solitude for a change..this time will not come back and trust me you would miss it when it's gone.

    7) join library, read books. Try to use this time in becoming better instead of moaning. Stop being a baby! ok?! ;)

...could think of this for now..

  4. go home for the weekend!
