I suck at fishing please help !

hi i have just recently started fishing , i have been roughly about 10 times , and i totaly suck to be honest. i had some luck with some fresh water trout as i could see they where biteing my bait but thats about it.

i dont even know how to set up the line properly and sometimes when i go to cast out the line just falls in front of me ......can any one help me please
