I have suffered from severe migraine headaches since i was nine years old. The pain is in my right temple/ behind my right eye 98% of the time. I can't get a perscription for them because i dont have any insurance. It will cost me $85 for my doctors visit and then $150 for 9 of the perscription pills. When i was a teenager and lived with my mom and was on her insurance i had a perscription for Imitrex and they worked wonders but now i can't afford them anymore. My headaches are usually two to three times a week verying depending on how close it is to my period. About three days before and during the time of my period they get worse. The pain and nausea get so bad that all i can do is lay in bed in a dark room with a cold cloth over my eyes and they still lead to vomiting. I do take Excedrine Migraine some of the time and it seems to help once and a while if i catch it soon enough but it doesnt help ALL the time. I was also told to chug a soda or something with caffine in it and that doesnt seem to help much. Can someone please help me with this..maybe a home remedy or something...i am willing to try anything. They ware taking over my life.

  1. if your headache is close to your period it may be not  migraines. i have the same headaches at this time and the doctor said it's a heritage headache. have you someone like yourself in your family?! by the way when it begins lay. place your head upper or downer from your body( it differs time to time! but most of the time upper works.) apply a piece of ice on your temporal region. and be relax!!!! don't drink soda, coffee or anything dilating your vessels.don't drink alcohol. don't move so when it begins! the best thing you can do is to sleep although i know it's too hard but it's really the best way-->> don't eat sleeping pills of course!!!
