  1. Eye drops might aggravate them more.  I would keep rinsing them with cool water, and maybe put a cool wet washcloth on them.

  2. The are numerous bacterium, virus and mycoplasma in the water of the over-chlorinated pool. So based on your symptoms, you probably got affection on your conjunctivas,  In other word,it is conjunctivitis.

Don't use eye drops without your doctor's prescription. Because we don't know your conjunctivitis are bacterial, mycoplasmal or viral. So your drops may not be effective.

If it's bacterial or mycoplasmal, antibiotic drops will work, e.g. ofloxacin eye drops, norfloxacin eye drops.

If it's viral, then antiviral drops will work, e.g. aciclovir eye drops, ribavirin eye drops.

And DO NOT use eye drops in a large dose,or frequently. That can induce antibiotics resistance, which make your drops invalid.

My advise is that you should go to see your doctor immediately, because the conjunctivitis are usually acute. Let your doctor diagnose, and prescribe appropriate eye drops for you.

    Good luck,dude.
