  5. I am perplexed by the phenomena. My answer is Yes and No. Yes because I, as you and others, believe that deja vu  -- French for "already seen" -- describes experiences or feelings that I have experienced or have witnessed previously.  No, because I believe "relative or similarity of experience" can somewhat explain the phenomena.

For example, my first time in Hong Kong I went to a British EM club, went directly over to the coffee bar, opened up a cupboard got a cup, poured the coffee, went over to a table and started talking to a British tar who I knew (or thought I knew). It suddenly dawned on me that I had never even been in Hong Kong before. How did I know exactly where everything was, etc.? When I think about it: I  had been to Singapore, I had gone to Raffles (a restaurant) for a cup of coffee and while there I did meet a group of British sailors that I talked to. Not an exact experience, but a relative or similar experience. Cups are usually found in cupboards, etc.

I think, if my conscious memory was perfect, which it is not, I would better understand the deja vu experiences that my subconscious has led me into.
