  1. This is actually a medical condition, and you should discuss it with your doctor, if possible.  I have seen claims under health insurance for that, and it is covered as a medical diagnosis.

Here is further information I found at another website, which might be helpful:

    Medical Causes of Excessive Sweating

There are several medical causes of excessive sweating. The most important causes are over active sweat glands together with certain medical conditions. Other causes of excessive sweating are external factors like activity, eating habits and general health.

The human body contains between 2 and 4 million sweat glands total. The sweat glands work all the time trying to cool down the body when it gets to hot.

Some sweat at a normal level while others sweat more than they would like. Those who sweat more than necessary to keep the body cool have overactive sweat glands.

The level of different people's sweat glands activity is as different as the speed of hair growth. Still there are many external reasons for overactive sweat glands.

Medical Conditions that Causes Excessive Sweating

There are a lot of medical conditions for excessive sweating, and if you see a sudden change in how you sweat you should talk to the doctor about it.

How much you sweat is often due to normal genetic variation. Still there are different personal factors that lead to sweat. Examples of these are overweight, stress, anxiety, anger and nervousness

Other medical causes of excessive sweating are using new medicine or drugs as well as cutting down on certain types of medicine or drugs.

Smoking is bad for your health and also leads to a higher level of sweating, same with alcohol.

Spicy food heats up you body, witch causes you to sweat. It also adds more smell to it.

Coffee and caffeine in general raises your pulse and increases your level of sweating. Hot drinks in general will also heat up your body and cause more sweat.

    Sweat and Activity

This is common knowledge and might not be fitted in this guide on medical causes of excessive sweating. Still it is important to understand that high activity leads to higher level of sweating.

Hot air or rooms with little air will also make your body sweat more.
