  1. I would say around 240 carry and between 250-270 with roll. Be careful though. Don't have too high of expectations at the driving range. Range balls are beat up and inconsistent. I would try to work on your optimum flight rather than distance. Then when you go to the course use your flight to dictate where the ball is headed. The distance will vary on every hole because the slope from the tee will be different. Good luck man.

(These #'s are for the 100 mph swing speed with your driver. I have no idea how driver speed relates to overall clubhead speed.)

  2. Clubhead speed means nothing without a solid strike on the sweet spot.   If your hitting it solid and straight, I'd estimate around 260 yards.  A stiff shaft is fine for a 100 mph clubhead speed.

I cannot believe a 17 handicapper(and you know who you are) who knows absolutely nothing about golf is dispensing practice tips to anyone, unbelievable!

  3. There are more things to consider before anyone can tell you how far you will drive the ball with those numbers.

What kind of ball? 2, 3, or 4 piece?

The Speed stick is very different from a driver. Go to the golf store, get on a monitor, and see what they say. You may be suprised by the result.

The other guy is right. Never guage distanceby what you do on the range unless you play with range balls on the course

  4. It's not how hard you swing to relation of launch angle and spin rate on the ball.  A buddy swings at the roughly the same swing speed 106 to 107 but he launches it a little higher with less spin and he hits about 15 yards by me.  So like the guy above said go to a place were they can test you and find the club and shaft that fits your swing!!!  Hitting it straight is more important trust me 250 to 275 is better than 265 to 290 and not hitting fairways.

  5. picking a new shaft is not easy.  There are 3 things you should look at...weight, kickpoint, and stiffness.  the heavier the shaft the more accurate you will be. the lower the kickpoint the higher the ball flight, and for a faster swing speed the stiffer a shaft you would need.  its more than just a name and flex.  the only way to see if a shaft is beter for you is if you try it out. You have a rough estimate of what your swing speed is so get a clubmakers catalouge and look through it. most companies match the shafts with a driver swing speed.  (p.s. one companies stiff might be another companies regular)  As far as distance goes...i would not be worried about distance i would be worried about shot pattern, accuracy, and overall ball striking.  If you have those 3 things distance will fall into place. Besides, are you hitting your driver that bad? if it is not broke dont fix it.
