I take aspirin for my inflammation and pain from arthritis... If I take aspirin for 2 or more days,,,?

only one per day... why does it make my urinary tract burn so badly?

  1. Aspirin is known to cause liver toxicity. As for such consequence, the kidney suffers the most.

    In your case, You should discontinue taking Aspirin at once and to get another medication ( none acetylsalicylic acid based ) instead of aspirin, simply give a visit to your Rheumatologist. Should the sensation of burn precede, visit an Urologist for a detailed diagnosis.

  2. Most likely the two are not related.

    Aspirin is usually sold in one of two strengths: low-dose (80 or 81 mg, used to be called "baby aspirin") and regular-dose (325 mg).  At these doses, one pill a day should not give any urinary burning at all.

    You may have a urinary tract infection (UTI), or something else causing inflammation of the urinary track.  If the burning persists, you should see a doctor and have your urine tested.
