  1. Ibuprofen can cause liver problems and stomach ulcers but as long as you drink a bunch of water and eat before you take it you should be fine.  Have you considered using aleve instead of ibuprofen?  It can help and you only have to take one pill every 8 hours.  At least try to take 400mg first and if it doesnt help take another pill.  Just because advil is over the counter does not mean at all that it is side effect free and fine to take as many as you want.

  2. Ibuprofen can cause stomach problems and can contribute to ulcers. That is if you come into contact with the bacteria that causes ulcers. Ibuprofen is a great pain reliever and muscle relaxant. However everything is good in moderation. Maybe you should try Tylenol as well as Ibuprofen. But remember to take no more than 4000 mg of tylenol a day. It is to hard on the liver.

  3. Speaking from experience, I mean doing the same thing you are doing right now, I ended up having to take meds for my stomach because of all the stomach pain I ended up with.....I think I took Previced(the litte purple pill). I had to take that just to heal my stomach so be careful how much ibuprofen you take, it will catch up with you and I agree with some of the other answers; it hurts your liver and stomach among other things. Talk to your doctor and see what they might suggest!

  4. it's terrible for your liver.

  5. Ibuprofen is hard on your kidneys. Long-term use could lead to GI ulcers and those really hurt.

    Remember everything in moderation.

  6. you're question is your answer you take it a lot,

for cramps, lie on stomach helps

for headaches press acu-pressure points litely on hairline all around the

    head in giant circle

for occasional body ache soak in tub w epsom salts

save Ibuprofen(Advil,Motrin) for use only a couple times per year

otherwise it's not normal/you're too dependent on it . unless  your pain

it really intense, and if that's the case go to a Dr. and explain how all

these pains are interfering w your life(that's what they understand)

  7. The normal dose for ibuprofen for healthy adults (no GI problems) is 200-400mg every 4-6 hours, no more than 1200mg/day. Just make sure that you take the drug as needed and don't take it for longer periods (i.e. weeks to months or longer) since that could lead to GI & liver problems.

  8. Eventually you might build up a tolerance to it, hence it won't work so well anymore and you'll have to take more, which is bad. Take the medical advice of those above me.

  9. Yes, GI bleed, problems with kidneys and liver.

  10. it should be fine everyonce in a while but not everyday

  11. Taking more than the recommended dosage will permanently damage your liver. You should only take about 200mg and wait 4-6 hours before you take any more.

Not only does this harm your liver, but ibuprofen is an anti-inflammatory drug. This could really cause some serious damage to other parts of your body. You need to take the amount recommended on the bottle and if that isn't working then go to a medical clinic so they can find a prescription drug that will help you.
