  1. yes to much baggage

  2. nope, if you both have a good time together and do it often

  3. yes, it is highly inappropriate to date students, not to mention a pain if the relationship goes sour.

  4. Although some programs may have a clear boundary in their handbook (or not), I believe most would consider it unethical IF they are a current student.  There could be many things that could go awry to consider - for instance, it could be a liability to who you are working for IF there is ever a question based on grading, if something happens (goes sour) and comes back to bite you in the a$$, or other students complain (favortism, etc.).  It isn't just YOUR butt but it could become a problem of your employer as well.

Remember:  it is a place of work and it is best to keep professional and personal separate.  Of course, once this isn't a student isn't one of YOURS any longer, I don't see any problem.  As long as they are legal. :) haha.

Lastly - remember that attraction can happen any time; anywhere...and when we least expect it.  It's human nature and not surprising if it arose part of sharing a common interest (and mental attraction) due to how you met.  But this would/could happen your whole life.  Does that mean you will date everyone this happens to?  Only you know what you want in your life.  If you think this person could have that (short or long term), that's really what you have to consider as well.  i.e. if it's worth it considering the circumstances

  5. I wouldn't see why not--if it's mutual.  A friend of mine met her true love that way--when we were Seniors in high school, and well 15 years later they are still together.  (Dating occurred once school was over to all the posters quoting rule books--LOL).

  6. i dont know.. maybe?

    but i think no

  7. if your both adults theres no problem just check with the organization you work for. if they have a problem then you shouldn't the rule could be there because of something cultural.

  8. As  an  instructor, it  is  not  good  to  have   close  relationship  with  your  students  other  than   relationship  between   Instructor  and  student  relationship   only.  Refrain  from  doing  it  and  if  you  are   really  in  love  with  this  student,   tell your  love  to  her  after  the  class  and   never   initiate  a  date   from  her or  never  accept  any   date   invitation  coming  from  her.  You  maybe  put  in  trouble  ones  you  commit  a  mistake in  life. You  know  what  I  mean.  I  do  not  need  to  explain  further.

  9. Yes.  However, once they are no longer students, it might be acceptable.

  10. the heart wants what the heart wants(:

  11. depends on the age. if you are 50 and she is 6 then probably you will burn in h**l. but you said you teach to adults so no. just dont give special treatment or favors in the class.

  12. no... unless it affects ur work or their perforamce...

    but im guessing only

  13. well imagine if it doesn't work out then you have to see them every single day and I'm not sure you want to to do and its not wrong well unless you treat him better than your other students

  14. whoa.. first off how old are you and the person you like? second, it's called pedophilia if the person you like is too young and third... being a teacher is having to be professional at your job.

  15. As an ESL teacher myself, I say go for it.

  16. No, it's not wrong- but you need to wait until after the class/semester is finished. Otherwise, there's a possibility of you using him/her or him/her using you. You'll never know if you were really having a relationship. It looks bad for you and for him/her. Plus, what if he/she fails a test and is pissed at you- what if the other students think you're treating him/her better?

  17. umm.... yes, it's not a good idea anyways because its a good way to get p***y and a good grade in one shot.

  18. No, it isn't. Granted I have had some students that were nice looking, I'd never want to date them. Your a teacher and a person being put in a position of trust. Act with the head on your shoulders, not the one in your pants.

  19. hmm... check your handbook
