I teach fifth grade and I am looking for reading and writing projects and ideas to do the last week of school. I need something that can keep them busy, something fun. I have some tough students that are not motivated now that its the end of the school year...any ideas??

  1. I agree with the first person who answered this question - the one who is 14 and is quite on top of things!

    I'm a teacher too...

Do something really fun that your students will enjoy thinking about during summer.  Forget "teaching" as such... just fun fun fun.... :D  I love the last week of school!  Let them choose what they want to do...  (of course maybe your school system doesn't support this... but....)  Good luck!

  2. for the last week of school have fun. dont assign real stuff. play educational games like a jeopardy game about what they learned this year or word games like boggle or stuff like that. maybe put them in groups so you have a bunch of games they can all play. please i am only 14 but i remember when i was that young and i didnt want to do real stuff the last week of school

  3. get several colors of paint, markers, and paper. fold the paper in half and then have the kids each get wat colors they want and put like drops of paint through the middle of wat ever color they have then fold it back in half and try to make a person out of it by pressing on the paper and sliding yur finger to make like a person then open the paper an u got a mosnter type thing then when the paint dries they can draw on it an they made theire own monsters then have em write a paper on it bout where it lives what it eats wat it likes an dislikes an tell them it can be what ever they want then u got happy kids lol
