  1. It happens to a lot of people. Try eating a banana before you run.

  2. Prevention:

Thats just due to eating or drinking before the run ....

-U should not eat a heavy meal at least four hours before the run

-U can eat somthing light (banana) 2 hours before running

-Drink alot of water four hours before and drink a glass 2 hours before running then dont eat or drink

**If u felt the pain then let more time before running and U will never feel it

    Cause:

** This time is let till the food and drink passes through gastrointestinal tract ... cuz if there is some thing in it will need blood supply to digest and absorb its contents....

so when u run the blood supply to the GIT will be greatly reduced in order to supply your muscles which will cause ischemia in the intestines and other parts of the GIT causing sever pain due to need for oxygen by the intestines to work in digestion and absorbtion...

Tthats why the faster and stronger u run the higher the pain due to more intestinal ischemia( loss of oxygen)

    Note:

a similar pain is also caused at the end of sprinting in ur leg muscles which is due to the starvation for oxygen (ischemia)

-----May be i will do some EDIT later

Edit 1 : ahh ... in case u got the pain do as others above me said (push on it with ur hands) ... but this is only temporary incase u forget to take precautions ...

    Hope i helped

    PEACE

  3. its called a stitch

they hurt like a *****, but if you stop and sit down, whilst the pain may go away temporarily, as soon as you start running again, its back, so you just have to run through it, and it'll go in a few minutes

also try eating a banana before you go running, they can help, good luck :)

  4. try eating a banana before

  5. I always asked my mom why I got those when I was little and she told me just to breath through my nose, and to run with my mouth closed lol

  6. um to prevent stretch out your stomach like lie down on your stomach and then lean backk... idk if thats making sensee....

anyways i find it pretty hard to prevent them, but recently i have found ways that work for me to get that sitch out of my side...

one way is to focus on your breathing and see which leg you step down on when you breath in...once you do that try to switch the leg you go down on when you breath in..the reason this works is because you are focusing, and then in order to switch the breathing you have to hold your breath for like half a second and it gets that knot out! i have been loving that

another way is to tighten your abs and then sort of lean back and stretch them out (while your running) it might sound hard to do while your running but its not. maybe just try it out when you dont have a cramp, or before a race day!

    hope ive helped!

  7. I had those pains a great deal when I was younger. As I got older they went away. Perhaps it has something to do with your age.

  8. it happens to lots of people...try to stretch before running, that helps some.

  9. you have to put your hands around your waste and pres hard for about a couple of seconds, while you're walking. this would stop the pain and it won't come back soon
