I tend to judge people by their sun sign. How can I not?

Question

I'm really interested in Astrology. Once I meet someone and dont know their sign, I treat the person normally. But I usually have this urge to know when their birthday is so I can know thier sun sign. I do this because I know what signs are compatable with me and which ones I wouldn't be the best of friends with. The bad thing about it is that when I judge by sign, I treat them differently and don't give them a chance if they're a sign that I'm not that compatable with. What should I do? I can't help it sometimes. Advice please...Thanks=)

Even if you find out their sign, treat them nice just the same. It's not because their signis not compatible with you that you have to treat them separately.

They are just friends and should be treated accordingly. I know astrology and if their are signs that are incompatible with me, I find the good traits and disregard the bad traits in them.

You are being selfish and forget the me, myself and I attitude.

Even if their Sign is compatible with you, what makes you think their rising sign is? Or their Moon placement ? What if they were in incompatible signs and they still fit with you?

What then ?

It a good thing that you do realised the side effects of astrology.

I shared the same trouble as you.

It a constant battle you see. So long as use accept astrology i your life, this is what you tends to think and feel whenever you meet someone. What I learn to adapt is to always have a open-mind and tried to keep your opinions to yourself first and at all times.

Wait and Observe further before jumping to conclusion. As you already know that a person is made up of many different signs so, although there is incompatiblity between the sun signs that doesn't mean both of you are totally of a different kind. There could some similar trait as well.

Anyway it good to train yourself in this area as it proven to be useful in the many year to come in your lifetime.

first of all try ( i know it'll be tough :0) ) not to ask people their zodiacs/birthdays right away...wait for a while till u form an independent opinion...

or you could write down the nice things about each sign and focus on the  positive aspects and everytime u meet a new person try to match them to the good things about their zodiac..

Your issue is judging people... not astrology... if you automatically do that with astrological signs, the odds are good you've been doing it elsewhere in your life...

So work on why you are so judgmental... are you Capricorn or Virgo? Is your Venus in Capricorn or Virgo? Is Saturn conjunct or square your Venus, regardless of the signs?

One possible way to work through this hang-up... get 12 pieces of paper and write each sign of the Zodiac on a separate piece... then write down the name of each person you know under their sign. Keep these lists for a few weeks as you meet people, and add new names... then stop and look at each page.. and think about how different these people are from each other, even though there are similarities... It might help with your judging, and it will certainly show you sme things about astrology...

I do that too. I love astrology. And I tend to want to know their birthday, so obviously, I can know their sign and all that stuff. I also judge people because of it too. *tear* Like scorpios'. They have a lot of power, but all of them that I know use it in a bad way.  Yeah, I'm trying not to judge people like that. And so far, its been really hard, but I keep on tryin'! ^_^

I always ask for peoples birthdays too and they ask me"Wtf why do you need to know?"

Haha. Uhm, but I don't judge them. You can't judge someone until you know them. You can't expect everyone to be like you. And just because people judge you doesn't make it right to judge others.

Whoa. Girlie, you've got a lot of Cap in you. Embrace your judgmental ways, you know whom to stay away from then. But don't let others know what you think of them because of their sun sign. You'll p**s them off.
