His name seemed to be pronounced differently by the official announcers in French and English at the Olympics, never mind the TV commentators.

  1. Jacques is usually pronounced with a soft J and to rhyme with "mock". But very softly on the J as if you were almost saying Shock.

Rogge is pronounced to rhyme with "dog" but a soft on the g and emphasis on the O

  2. Jock (very soft "J") Rog-g*y.

    Jacques Rogge

  3. There is one pronounciation: HATER.  Seriously, heard what he said about Usain, da real boss.

  4. Jacques>>Zjock

    Rogge>>Row-zjeh

is how I would pronounce it. My ex bf's name was Jacques and that's how it was pronounced. Then again it depends on where the person is from.

**the "z" is not pronounced like that in the word Buzz...it's a little difficult to type versus saying it outloud...like the french do.

  5. Like "jahk row-g," with the "j" like the second "g" in "garage" and the "r" nice and throaty.

  6. Zhack Ro g*y

  7. Jack RO gEE

  8. Jakes Roj-A
