Question:

I think I'm anorexic?

I only eat one small meal a day. It's been going like that for a week, and I've lost a good amount of weight. My friends all say that I already have a nice body, but I think I've got a bit of tummy and my thighs touch in places. I think my mom has noticed too; she makes food with lots of protein/fat (rice with lots of butter, etc.) and wants me to eat it. But she's a nurse and close friends with a psychologist, so I think she knows that it won't help to force food on me.

After losing a couple more pounds, I'm going to stop this. But do a couple of pounds matter? I'm thirteen.

And is this weight healthy? I'm 5"2, and 100.5 pounds.

    Your weight is perfectly normal.

    However, you need to stop the pattern of eating too little right now. You don't need to lose any weight. You don't need to gain any weight.

    Listen to your body's satiety, and you'll be healthy.

  4. that weight is in a safe range right now, because you are short. you have time to stop what you are doing before it gets out of hand.  you are still growing and you need a lot of nutrients on a daily basis.  and you need to eat more than one time a day.  it has been said that 5 small meals are good for you.  but at least eat 3 healthy size ones  a day,please.

    a couple more pounds will turn into a couple more pounds, until it becomes an addiction and you are anorexic.  stop now.  you are perfect as you are and you are very very valuable.  being anorexic eventually kills people.  best wishes to you.

If you stay where you are  after losing a couple of pounds its ok.. but I wouldn't lose anymore than that. after that you might have trouble with your hormones, I dont know if you have started to have your monthly or how your developing but you dont want to mess that up, your in a difficult stage in your life  and you dont want mess with mother nature.  be cool.  April.

  6. Stop what you're doing right now and back up.

    You will s***w up your metabolism and end up gaining weight. This is not  the answer. You'll also seriously hurt your muscle tissue and weaken your whole body. Plus you are throwing off your hormones and could become depressed. There's no point having the body if you want if you're too depressed to enjoy having it.

    What is good looking is a lean, HEALTHY body. So ask your mom if she can set you up with a nutritionist- I'm sure she'd be glad to. They'll help you figure out the perfect way to eat so you get all your nutrients and enough calories not to get sick but so you can be lean still. And get your exercise. A great body does not come easy. Listen to professionals, and you will have success at this for the rest of your life.  

  7. so i have a freind all last school year and this summer she ate like nothing and then sometimes something and she is like 5'1 and she weighted 125 at the begining of teh school year but she was fine looking and was size meduime and 3 jeans and now she is 5'0 102 pounds and onlly eats 1 snakc and  dinner she has a promblem and she is 13 but she hates when poeple say she doesim worried about her
