  1. it doesn't matter what size you are football has positions for all body types and football practice itself will get you into shape

  2. Football will require both good physical endurance as well as speed, after all, most plays take place within 20 yards of the snap. That being said, some good workouts for both speed and endurance are repeat workouts. Go on the track and run 200yards as fast as you can go(time it). This will be your "baseline", add about 4 seconds to your time and try to run at that time another 10 times. At the end you will be dead tired.

On the more endurance side, i suggest fartleks, which invole a run of over 3 miles. You run with a watch timing off 30 seconds and a 2min 30 seconds. During the 30 seconds, you run quick, but not quite a sprint, almost your 800 meter pace. During the 2.30 you jog to recover. You should repeat this 6-9 times during your run.

Remeber, running is hard and painful, It helps to bring a buddy along so you can keep each other giving 100%

    Good luck with football!

  3. run a bit/ then run somemore etc

  4. If your try-out is running, then prepare for it by running! That's kind of what football is all about, so if you can't run, you can't play football.
