  1. We had TWC and paid $185/month for phone, internet and cable, but we had a lot of premium movie channels.

We just cancelled the phone and most of the movie channels and now we are saving $70 a month. I would have hoped to be saving more, but even with pared-down services, it will be around $112. It's ridiculous.

  2. Try the all the best package of Time Warner.  I am paying only $87 plus tax.  However, I have also premium channels for my HD so the total I am paying is about $140.  I have HBO, Showtime, Cinemax, International Channels (2).

  3. try sprint

  4. If you have internet access, get phone service from it.

  5. it sounds a lot t mobile is the cheapest now £35 a month you get £180 abot 1200 mins

  6. if you can get Time-Warner in you area, then get the :poverty package"....its like 99 dollars a month....TV....Cable and digital phone service!   3-in-one-package....not bad!!!

    http://www.whitefence.com/

try this website and see if there any cheaper providers out there....just put in your address!!

  7. It blows me away to hear how much so many people pay per month for Telephone/Cable/Internet service!

For people who have money to burn, I guess that is ok.

But, for people who don't have excess of money and want to pay off mortgages and student loans, then it just comes down to not having to have the best of everything.  Having the "best" and the "most" seems to be the American and Canadian way.  But, it comes at a big price, for the most part....

Here is what I did to save on utility expenses:

I only subscribe to Basic cable TV for $30/month.

I got Internet Lite speed (256Kbps) also with cable company for $22/month.

So, now I only pay $52/month for CableTV and Internet.

Then, I use InPhonex as my primary VoIP phone service over Internet.   I have their cheapest package for $7.95/month.

It gives me an area phone number, Unlimited incoming calls, 911, all bells and whistles + 2.5 cents/min for all outgoing calls to anywhere in USA/Canada/UK.

For cheaper long distance calling, I also use Skype and CallCentric VoIP services.

Because I don't do a lot of phone calling, I only pay maximum of $10-12/month for all my phone calling - local & long distance combined.

Once I had my VoIP services sorted out, I Pulled-the-Plug on Ma Bell !

Now, my total monthy cost for Phone/CableTV/Internet is only $62/month on average!

And, I do it without being locked into any long term contracts!

All services above are only Pay-As-You-Go and Month-by-Month... No Contracts, no obligations, quit any time.

Now, all that money I save is going toward paying off our mortgage.  I look forward to the day we will be mortgage free...

  8. Vonage is $24 for unlimited calling, $15 for 500 mins.

There are lots fo people turing off home phones and going with just mobiles - you need to calculate your minutes and see if this works for you.

  9. well me and my mom have verizon just for our phones....

and its around $130 a month

    so i think your good!

  10. some places you can get internet and phone thru your cable company.. check that out other than that look at vonage for your phone service and now they have wireless internet that works off of the cell towers see if it is available in your area.. where i live its called.. clearwire and xanadoo..

  11. Cable companies have plans that you can get phone, internet and cable tv for $99 a month. Cable internet is WAY better than DSL, which is what you have thru Verizon.
