I was in the best shape of my life when i went vegetarian. i was working out regularly, which decreased my infamous booty. but no big deal, smaller but firmer is a good trade. but after i turned vegetarian my butt has all but disappeared compared to a year ago! i don't want to turn my back on veggie but i'm afraid if i work out more it will be gone! i've included a lot of soy and protein in my diet so i don't know what else to do. any answers?

Ha, but seriously, you might try adding more legumes. Like lentils or garbanzo beans. They provide the protein you need, but they also have some fat to them. Most vegetarian menu items are generally uber healthy so you lose weight. By eating protien and then exercising your body is able to completely use the protein towards creating muscle where the fat used to be.

  2. I sounds like you need complex carbohydrates .You are probably eating carbs .To get the proper balance you need to eat your carbs in a certain combination. The best book I have ever read "Diet for a Small Planet" is a great book to explain how to get the total value.
