Question:

I think I've strained an abdominal muscle running. Now it's difficult NOT to feel it running again.?

I know rest is probably the best fix. But has anyone ever had this problem before? Any healing advice?

  1. If you really feel the need to run again and you simply don't want to rest it out, I would recommend the following:

    1) Get on a treadmill and check if you still experience the same muscle pain

    2)  If you do, then I would recommend an alternative exercise such as full eliptical or biking.

    I would not suggest running outdoors and just running through the pain.  It may cause a more serious problem...
