I think I am pregnant, already have 2 kids, 10 ,11 years old?

I never thought I would have another kid, in fact.....I really couldn't stand my husband...but, I started going back to church about 6 mos. ago. My attitude has totally changed. I am still scared, but mostly I am scared of what people will think. Especially my closest friends and family. I think they will be very negative. How would you tell them? My kids have always wanted us to have another baby, but do you think I can still make this work being so far apart in age?

God has a tendency to change our attitudes for the better. He's awesome like that!

I wouldn't worry about the age thing. As for the family and friends, let them think what they want to think. If you keep your eyes on God and your heart right, things will work out. It won't always be easy, but you will be amazed at the end results!

Sure you can, having them far apart in age isn't that bad. The older ones don't need you as much and are a great help. The little one will have lots of people to look up to.

There are 9 years between my sister and I and we are very close. She comes to me for advice and we go out and do all kinds of things.

There is going to be 7 years between my boys and I find not having 2 in diapers a relief and my oldest is such a help.

If you are happy do not worry about anyone who wants to squash your happiness. I would just tell them like you would with any other happy news.

As for the age difference, it can work. Your older kids will probably be protective of their little sibling.

I completely agree with Christie! She has the best answer! God IS so amazing, and I have known women who emptied their nest, to soon bring another one in unexpected. God does everything for a reason!! Remember: Children are God's reward!!
