  1. Oh no, don't chance it.  Make sure you are pregnant before going to the dentist.  Medicines can harm the baby because what ever you take can be transfered to the baby.  Doctors usually will have you wait until after the birth to see a dentist for any procedures like that.  Good luck.

  2. No it wont hurt the baby at all even if they use a different medicine. No worries hun, you'll be fine.

  3. Even though I'm not a dentist I am very confident in saying that the root does not extend as far as the uterus.

and yes, without the novicane it's gonna hurt like h**l!

    I'm sure they're is something.

  4. No it won't hurt the baby in fact getting a tooth pulled is the only safe dental work you can do while pregnant

  5. It depends on how far along you are for the medication. but all docs say do not do anything with your teeth or anything dental because you gums and etc do no heal as far which leaves you open for infection and lots of other things. i would just try and get by for as long as you can without messing with the tooth. might be able to wait til after the baby is born. if it gets really bad ask your baby doctor what to do. i just know im pregnant now im 7 mo along due on october and i have got like 5 really bad teeth so bad they want to just pull all my teeth and give me false teeth and my doctor said to wait cause there is more risk put on you and the baby messing with the tooth or having it pulled. i guess just leaving the tooth and treating the tooth for like infections and etc is better. hope that helps out some, if it makes you feel any better im suffering with my bad teeth in order to have a health baby which is the only thing that matters. Also i see you said you think you might be pregnant. I think you should find out for sure, if you dont have the money they have preg tests at dollar stores, and the health deptment will do preg tests for free usually when you do not have an income. But find out if you are pregnant first and then deal with what happens after you find out the answer to that question.

  6. I had a tooth pulled when I was pregnant about 10 years ago. Make sure that you let the dentist know that you are pregnant, becasue if you are they can not take X-rays because the x-ray can be harmful to the baby, but they can still pull the tooth they have different medicines that they might use. But NO X-rays.
