I think I damaged my cartilage?

When I was doing front dumbell raises for the shoulders,my left elbow gave a cracking sound for a second,but it only hurt for half a second.5 minutes later i started feeling a really,really barely noticable pain in the elbow.THe joint doesnt lock and I can move it painlessly.What could it be?
