Question:

I think I died...?

I know it sounds silly. But I would like your opinions on it.

I have a serious heart condition and I woke up the other morning feeling AWFUL. I was extremely dizzy, I could barely walk and my heart was beating oddly (skipping beats and such) so I went back to bed. This feeling isn't rare, by the way

So...I went to sleep. Or died...?

I remember being in like a weird metallic-lined room waiting in line with a few people I knew, and others I didn't...and we were going through a curtain to "the other side". A lady was opening the curtain as we walked through. I stopped and asked her "Can I come back?" and she said: "If you hurry".

I went through the curtain, ran around (I think my aunt who just died was there, not sure)...but then I came back to the curtain and walked back through. But the phone was ringing at my house, and afterwards my sister said that it had rung (full sets, not one ring) 4 or 5 times. I remember trying to answer it, but my brain couldn't make my body move

  1. I had an experience http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;...

this may give you an "idea" what i went through

  2. Supposedly if you die in your dream, you really die.  That's what I was taught, and I've come close to dying in a dream, but never did.

???What do we know?  We know nothing!  This "life" is such a mystery.

    Take care, Sweetie.  :)

  3. Hope you went to the dr. and got your heart checked. It might have been a warning. (I don't say it was..but I wouldn't take the chance.)

  4. Maybe you had a near-death experience, which happens sometimes.  In order for you to have actually "died" in the medical sense, you need to have not had a pulse for a while or had not brain function (being "brain dead").  If that was the case then it would be odd for you to have revived yourself... but hey, anything is possible.

  5. i dont think you actually died, but when you come close to dying, alot of people will experience being on the brim of a near death experience...i had the same thing happen to me, while waiting for an ambulance, i was, not quite dead but pretty close, soon as i let go of fighting, it was at that moment that i suddenly  slipped into a grey foggy realm, and was met by a close person i knew, and we spoke telepathically, with each other, (awesome experience) and i was told to return, and then i woke back up, still waiting for the ambulance, sounds like the same happened to you as well....so id say you could of been on the brim of death but just not quite dead...

  6. Because of your heart condition you may have had a blood pressure drop, a stroke, all kinds of things....but you didn't die.  People who die don't come back to life.  Sometimes a person's heart stops, and they are revived by heroic means, such as artificial resuscitation, electric-shock, etc...but death is a result of brain death, which happens soon after the heart stops beating.  Obviously that didn't happen to you.

  7. Kind of sounds like a dream to me.

  8. No you didn't die.  You knew you had a heart condition and wasn't feeling well so you were convinced that you'd die and instead you went to sleep and had a very realistic dream, so realistic that you couldn't differentiate reality from fantasy; I know this from personal experience, its happened to me a number of times.

  9. Well, lets consider the following things.

Dead people dont talk on the phone.

    Dreams can be anything.

Its not entirely unheard of for people to have weird dreams and be disoriented and even experience vivid hallucinations if they take naps during the day.

I would say you were probably not dead, simply experiencing weird stuff from napping.

  10. Is it fully possible for your heart (and even your brain) to stop and restart. The strange memory is probably a dream, but I'm not positive about that. I seriously doubt you actually died though, because to die, your body has to deteriorate to a state that is physically impossible to return from. I do think you should talk to a doctor and/or shrink about all of this.

  11. Did you smell funny and very stiff when you "woke" up? Bodies get hard from no movement of blood and start to stink pretty quick..that's a good indicator..

  12. hmm sounds like a dream

    but who knows

that would be a cool idea if it was

  13. Your story is very interesting. You said you were talking to your mother on the phone? was this after you felt you had passed? or during ? what you experienced is simular to what others have reported in near death experiences .could you have died? I think it possible ,I would ask you this, are you worrying alot about dying because of your heart? this could be another cause of your incident can you remember how you felt when waiting to go through the curtain ? This curtain you spoke of is what I believe was the veil from this world into the next if you would have crossed through the curtain you most likely would have not been here to write this question I do hope you are able to get the help you so desperately need for your heart  God Bless

  14. i think you had a near death experience.. i dont think you died.. but saw what was on the other side..it seems very likely.. anyway.. do tell if more things like that happen.

  15. You might have had a vision, maybe you're psycic(sp?) I've had weird dreams like that also, if that's a dream.

  16. That's so scary. @_@;

  17. If "your brain couldn't make your body move" that sounds like sleep paralysis. And I have dreamt that I died before, but they are just dreams in my opinion.

  18. wow that is cool, your lucky the lady let you "come back"
