I took Law, Business, Biology and History, I'm sure I haven't done very well in my exams. If i haven't passed i have four options in September which would you suggest that i do?

A) Resit the year.

B) Resit lots of modules in January.

C) Take a BTEC or another vocational course.

D) Get a job.

It's not that I'm not capable of passing its just I'm lazy, i was predicted AABC in January i ended up with ACDU (the C was a mark off a B and the D was two marks off a C) because i walked into the exam and just took it, no preparation what so ever. I've always been the same and i think its finally backfired on me and now i don't know what to do, should i just see it as a learning curve and suck it up or take something else?

  1. i would do c and d ....but in your choosing of a job...you gotta find something of that feild..you know a lot of people say the only way you can do what you want is to go to school..thats not true...i always wanted to be in radio...and i never steped foot into a class romm..and thats what im doing now..you just gotta have your eyes open..even working as a little part of it..with time you'll get to were your going.

  2. If you are lazy then do not do a BTEC. It's all course work and the assignments are huge.

Are you going to change? If you are still going to be lazy next year then is there any point in resitting at all?

At least you know why you messed up.

Go talk to your personal tutor and ask their advice.

  3. Just get back on the horse and bust your *** for the next few years.  I failed my first TWO years of college (4 semesters) then was placed on acedemic probation.  I had a choice then, do bad and fail out or get my act together and bring my grades up.  I busted my *** (while still had loooaaaddddssss of fun) by studying, going to every class, doing all extra credit available and most importantly, taking classes during winter and summer breaks.  I managed to still graduate in 5 years (that is after transferring twice and switching majors on top of failing 2 years) with a 3.4 gpa.  I regret wasting a lot of money but eventually i got my **** together and came out on top!

  4. Wait until you get your results before making any decisions (it's only a couple of weeks after all). I would say if you have a lot of modules you need to resit, you would be better off repeating the year. You don't want to be stuck revising for loads of AS modules when you're trying to work on your A2s. I know lots of people who were really stressed trying to revise for resits, finish coursework and start revising for their A2s. I would advise you not to do options C or D, finishing your A levels and maybe even going to uni if you want will put you at a great advantage.

  5. resit ur modules, because you can easily bump up a grade by doing better in one module, i'm going to have to do it too, i'm in the same boat. i dont think you should find a job in my opinion yet. sup 2 u though.

  6. Resit.

I did the same thing and retook tests once I realized I had been a lazy bum. I'm now doing fairly well for myself.
