The reason we have so much problems and conflicts is because we have a brain. It's because we can evolve that we create conflicts. Think about it, we advance in technology in sciences and other stuff (etc etc), but then we create new problems. We all think differently (don't people realize that?) We all think where right (and that obvious because it's our thoughts, how can we be wrong?) and this is all because of our brain.

  1. Yes, we need to evolve our brain (mindset)

Splitting the atom requires great intelligence, using that intelligence for stockpiling atom bombs is insane or extremely unintelligent.   "Intelligence in the service of madness"   Stupidity is relatively harmless, intelligent stupidity is highly dangerous.

  2. Where there is man, there is corruption. That's the only logic.

  3. How long did it take for you to come to this brilliant conclusion? Your logic scares me, if it stops here!

  4. I think you are absolutely right.  The world is filled with conflict, and in so many cases, we create that conflict ourselves.

What happened to that simple life that people lived some 50 + years ago.  Why do we need to be chatting on the cell phone while we drive 5 minutes to work? What did the cell phone create? Dependency, and it has made it where anyone can find anyone, anywhere, at anytime of the day.  And what about the cell phone related car accidents? Through this invention, people have been seriously injured, and even lost their lives.

And what about our wonderful internet? We love all the information, and the global world being right at our finger tips all the time.  In some cases, we had millions of jobs created because of the online companies, even more home based businesses were created to help stay at home mom's or similar.  And what else did the internet do...?? We created a virtual playground from predators to have access to young children.  This is so horrendous, to think there are grown adults who prey upon children and would go as far as to meet this person for the physical act of molesting, abusing, etc...   The internet was not created for something like this...  but sick people saw an outlet and an opportunity and took it.

SO, YES, as you see in my examples... in this high technological world, we are faced with a double edged sword.  They are great in some respects, and some create conflict and negativity out of it too.

    Thanks for reading!

  5. You're right. I'm going to have my brain surgically removed and replaced with a sponge.

  6. obviously.

i also see a problem in the way we are rooting out "harmful" substances in items in order to make it "safer" for consumers.

we have no idea of the long-term effects of this.

are we creating a superior race, or are we accidentally making ourselves weaker?

  7. I do agree with what your saying in people create conflicts within themselves or each other because for the most part we will always feel that we are right, and a lot of the time even when we finally realize we are wrong it's hard for some people to swallow thier pride and admit to being wrong.

As far as advancement goes the main conflict in that is a lot of people get comfortable with what they already know or are use to, therefor they don't feel new technological advancements are necessary. I personally feel that a lot of that has to do with age.

So in a sense is it really pride that is to blame for most of these conflicts?

Hope I helped and good luck!
