  1. the knee cap is called the patella. it is possible to have a fx (fracture) even a micro fracture, you won't know until you go to x-ray. other wise just grin and bear it. i have broken bones before with out going to x-ray or putting a cast on...i regret it, it leaves bumps were there should be none-blurey

  2. its hard to tell...you should feel pain from the moment you hit it...Did you hear any cracks, snaps or pops(hahah kinda like rice crispy treats)....but because you have a bruise, a fracture may be likley...but can you bend your knee??? if you can then maybe you have an acl injury or a meniscus tear...as for know i would take some pain killers, raise your knee on a pillow or two and ice it for 20 every 3 hours...get a brace or ace bange for compression and so you dont need to move it and rest... wait a couple days, bc by going to a doctor now or tommorow, they r just going to refer you to the er or smewher for xrays and most of the time, a fracture doesnt show up on xrays maybe for a couple of days since the injury or even weeks. i suggest if you are still in pain monday to call your doctor or if you have pain anywhere else go.

  3. You have a bad scrape. a bad bruise and likely some bone bruising.  If you had a broken knee cap, you wouldn't be able to walk without some severe pain.  Try taking some ibuprofen and ice your knee cap.  Those things should help decrease the swelling and discomfort, and elevate your leg above the level of your heart(or close to it).
