Since about the age of 7 I noticed that I wasn’t the same as the other children in my class. I would always be told off for day dreaming or as the teacher stated “in my own worldâ€Â. It was always hard to communicate with the children and therefore I had no friends this led onto bullying. I am still being bullied but after talking to a teacher at my new secondary school it fizzled out for a while. Now I am older I decided to research these symptoms and Asperger’s came up on the internet. It seemed to explain a lot of things, such as rocking and focusing on one subject a lot. I also struggle in speaking and listening at school, my teacher says I have a very monotonous voice and have no confidence in front of the class. When having a conversation I hardly ever make eye contact and this really embarrasses me. I am not extremely clever but I am very interested in computers and science and I decided to take a GCSE in computers at the age of 9 and 11 – I got a C and A*. Recently a teacher approached me about the syndrome also about a year after I researched. Can anyone help?
