I think I have Candida Albicans. What can I do to rid myself of it?

I have chronic bad breath with a white coating on my tongue that will not come off when I scrape it. I've had this problem for about 10 years but never knew anything about Candida. This morning when I woke up, I did a spit test and my spit was a bit stringy. Does this automatically mean that I have Candida? I don't really seem to have any other problems but this bad breath will not go away and I know it's not due to oral health because my mouth is in great condition.

Should I go to the doctor? Could he prescribe me something to get rid of the yeast? Or do I need to follow a strict anti-Candida diet? Do you think going on this diet would help with my breath?

I've already cut out dairy and any food items with dairy in it. I'm still eating meat...chicken, beef, etc.
