I think I have a ghost in my house. But I'm not sure, what do you think?

Question

Basically, about half and hour ago, I was in my living room alone on my laptop, and it's about 6:15 now (I can't sleep. Especially not now!).

The t.v. was on mute, and then I heard a noise coming from the kitchen, which sounded like a plastic bag rustling. I got really scared so I went to wake my brother up and made him come downstairs to check it out. So we went in and there was a little plastic bag on the work-top with a can of cat food on top, which I put there earlier (so it couldn't have moved by itself). But there was nothing in there and nothing near it that could have made it move.

It was a loud rustling, and before anyone suggests a cat, it wasn't coz she was sitting next to me : S

What do you think??? Please give me your opinion coz I'm really freaked out!

Probably came from something else. If there was a can on it how could it rustle? I would think it came from something else before the can was moved.

It could be hundreds of things besides a ghost. You know stuff falls over on its own after years of sitting sometimes?

Oh yeah...and Chris, thanks. Because demons who mean you harm are much more calming than a ghost in the kitchen.

I dunno, I'd consider any other possibilities before claiming it's a ghost.  Weird stuff happens in my house all the time.  The TV turns itself on and the volume's turned up all the way, the disc drive to my computer pops out randomly, the light in the hallway turns on and off by itself occasionally, but all of this can be explained.  My TV is old and the power button's stuck, my computer's completely f****d up, and we live in an old house with bad wiring.  One weird noise does not equal a ghost.

Many years ago as a kid I once one night heard a bag rustling that was on the floor right by my bed. At first I was kind freaked out the first and second time. The third time I heard it I peeked...and a little mouse (which we have RARELY ever had) was stealing pieces of my left over Halloween candy. lol

Ghosts are for real but they are not the spirits of the dead as some believe. They are evil spirits who take the form of the dead.

When I visited England I was shown a number of haunted houses. But every noise need not be produced by ghosts. Sometimes even I hear some noises and when I go to find out it turns out to be something that may have become unbalanced, slowly tilted and fell off or something like that. As long as it doesn't become too frequent you need not worry about it.

I think it is a ghost, because the cat food can't go there by it self.I believe in ghost, because we had ghost in our country in my house and it use to make creepy sounds.We brought a priest in and he found out that there was a ghost.We even had witches, but we don't have them anymore.They are real.I am not lying.

It's probably some noice for which you may never get an explanation. If it persists or if it seems to be acquiring some purpose, then it's time to call in the big guns.

I don't know either. Hopefully, it won't happen again.

I've had some very unusual noises in my house too, but nothing seems to come of them, so I tend to think it's something for which there's an explanation.

I think it's a little early to start thinking you have a ghost.

I'm sorry to have to freak you out but there was probably a cockroach or some other insect trying to climb over the plastic bag to get at the cat food. Or the insect thought the plastic bag had food in it?

Or worse you have a rat or mice and an extremely lazy cat!

There are no ghosts.  There are demons that pretend to be ghosts, to deceive people.
